Catholic Community Services Long Term Care seeks a dynamic Supervisor to coordinate the daily activities of our home care assistants. This position includes the scheduling of client services in an appropriate and timely manner, the evaluation of Home Care Assistants and the maintenance of regular contact with clients to ensure superior service delivery and response to client needs and desires.

In addition, if the need arises, assure client/HCA matches are made pursuant to client needs, HCA level of care, and Union Agreement. Also, be responsible for the use, understanding and data base upkeep of home care computer software and associated processes and paperwork flow.  

Responsibilities

SUPERVISOR DUTIES:


• Supervise Home Care Assistants from an established pool.
• Schedule and re-schedule Home Care Assistants to provide client service for assigned region.
• Complete employee evaluations
• Orients client to agency policies and Long Term Care staff.
• Assists Home Care Assistants with in-home orientation and training specific to client needs.
• Make emergency arrangements for clients.
• Responds to consumer and community complaints.
• Corresponds and communicates with DSHS, the Aging Network, clients and Home Care Assistants
• Input client authorizations into the computer.
• Maintain monthly client service records for billing purposes.
• Provide On Call assistance in keeping with system procedures during evening and weekend times when the office is not open
• Assists in the interview and orientation process

 

This position requires the employee to work in an office environment where there may be interruptions and a moderate amount of noise from telephones and conversations among employees. Extensive use of computers and related office equipment is typical of this position.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications


• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field and one year experience working in a fast paced Social Services or Health Care delivery system. (experience may be substituted for education).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work within systems.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Applicant must successfully pass required background clearances prior to an offer of employment.

• Support and uphold the mission, beliefs and values of Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services.
• Previous work history in social services or health services.
• Demonstrate the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in mult-cultural situations.
• Car with valid Drivers License and automobile insurance.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications


• Demonstrated supervisory skills and experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer programs
• Experience with Home Care or Home Health agency, and knowledge of in-home care.
• Familiarity with the designated Service Community
• Preferred experience supervising personal care services to shelter-based and supportive housing clients.
